The races starts at 9:00 am
14 Mile at Crooks.
Registration and packet pick-up will be in the CVS parking lot.
Please do not park in the CVS parking lot.
Clawson's Firecracker Mile runs down the straight, legally flat, five-lane-wide section of 14 Mile Road, immediately before Clawson's annual 4th of July Parade.
Runners are cheered on by thousands as they race down the street ahead of the firetrucks, bands, and floats.
The course was certified in 2019. See the map below.

$1000 Men's Sub 4 minute First Place
$1000 Women's Sub 4:30 First Place
$500 First Man and First Woman (if slower than times above)
$200 Second Man and Second Woman
$100 Third Man and Third Woman
Medals will be given to the top 50 men and top 50 women to finish. Medals will be awarded as runners exit the chute at the end of the race.
There is a $100 prize for top combined finishers in the 5k Freedom Run and the Firecracker Mile.
The prize will be awarded in 4 categories: Women under 40, Women 40 and over, Men under 40, and Men 40 and over.
Runners who compete in both events will have their overall finish places summed and the runners with the lowest score will win. In the event of a tie the tying runner with the lowest combined time will win.
